Growing up as a middle child with too much energy, my parents had me try multiple sports throughout my childhood. As I entered my teenage years I focused solely on soccer due to my large passion I had for the game. I played for a travel club year-round with elite level competition. However, I was never able to achieve my true potential due to poor nutrition and recovery. On top of that, it wasn't until my senior year of high school I realized how impactful weight training could be for sport performance. After graduating, I had no clue what the future held for me in terms of a career path. Fast forward a few years and a long talk with my parents, my passion for fitness began to sprout. As I continued my education at Eastern Illinois University, it became very clear to me the field of strength and conditioning was one I could be most successful but also enjoy doing everyday.
