My name is Steve Sagerstrom, a trainer specialist for BASE and former collegiate athlete! I grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois, where i played football as a Wide-Reciever at Maine South High School-earning 3 state titles. I then continued my academic and athletic abilities to study and play football at Robert Morris University of Chicago where I received a Bachelors Degree in Excercise Science and a conference championship title! I learned the importance of being a team leader, resilience, and good sportsmanship alongside my teammates and close friends on and off the field. I had the honor of growing up in an household with two supportive parents, and two older siblings who made me the competitive, and driven person I am today. Having the privilege of growing up in an athletic and loving household I was taught loyalty, dedication, and to always have a ‘never give up’ mentality from an early age. During my last year of college, I devoted my time and energy into an internship at BASE which included over 500 hours of unpaid time. This internship expanded my knowledge on fitness and logistics that ultimately allowed me to take a deeper dive into a field I was so interested in. Working full-time at BASE has given me the opportunity to grow inside and outside the workplace. Ive grown to become an ambitious and goal-oriented man because of my experience. Playing sports my whole life has made it so enjoyable for me to be able to coach and work with other athletes! It helps me to understand and connect with my clients on a different level. The love I have for helping people see results and seeing the satisfaction on their face makes me so grateful to be able to have the job i do. I can say I truly LOVE what I do and it’s allowed me find my true passion in life whether that’s with athletes or adults, nothing makes me happier then seeing a individual accomplish their goals! I’m so excited to continue my journey through this field and can not wait to see what the future holds
